My connection was installed on 28th March and story is the same as described by all frustrated customers above. The connection has been available barely for two working days in the period of more than two months and with a 6 month prepaid connection worth Rs 2800 around, there seems to be no possibility of refund. There has been innumerable no of complaints and have already spent around half of the connection value in mobile bills. Let us unite and form an email chain since TRAI doesnot take individual complaints but entertains the complaint against an ISP whose service conditons are pathetic in general. I believe the respondents to this blog can form a sizeable community to have the notice of TRAI.

I myself am full of such praise for the organisation and so; responding to your clarion call.
Want to join you in "publicly" sing paeans of praise at the mis managed service (both: pre AND post sale) false commitments, unfulfilled commitments, outright lies (yes: L I E s)..
I was initially just like you all, but subsequently meted out relatively better redressal.
This was after I started approaching the higher ups in the organisation (at Bombay), right upto Mr. Madhav Kota.
He was indeed queit forthcoming to put someone to look into the matter to begin with.. but gradually things would again yo-yo beyond control. So much so, that at last count (when I gave up) I had an un-used prepaid Tata Indicom Broadband account for well over a month.
The (link) outage was definately not rectified during my contract/ service period/ before account expiry
and infact I was told by Mr Kota's colleague to first ..renew the pack..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and to add insult to injury even got calls of their representatives - informing and advicing me about the impending expiry of the account, which I should renew if I want to.. **continue using** the service !!!!
**continue using**- yes!!! arent we reminded of the "Mad Tea Party" from Alice in Wonderland!!!

i have a walky and my plan is home2mobile349 plan in which 10:00Pm to 6:00Am net surfing is free.
this is a CDMA set in which time is according to the server.
and now the problem is that i start net surfing according to walky phone i.e after 10:00Pm
and the time mentioned on your bill is 9:53Pm which means that i have to pay extra for that 7 minutes every day.so every month i am paying extra near about 90 Rs.
and the same problem my friends are facing.and another problem is that you are charging Rs 25 for detail report for net and you dont send it at home and i have to collect the report from the main office monthly and i dont think that this is the proper way to deal with the customer.i went to the head office of tataindicom in jaipur and still i havent got the proper reply .

The myth lives on in my mind which is why I keep buying various Tata products / services and burning my fingers. A couple of years back, I applied for
a Tata Indicom phone and later found out my signature forged in several places by the executive who had come to me. I immediately withdrew my application and the cheque.
A few months later, my mother-in-law was victim when they offered her a Tata Indicom connection with the installation charge waived. She was happy till she found the installation charges inserted in the first bill. Upon refusal to pay, this senior citizen got threatening calls, and the matter only got solved after my husband sent some angry emails.
Recently I fell for the Tata brand again when I took a Tata Indicom prepaid broadband connection, opting over the cheaper MTNL connection that most friends advised me. My earlier experience of broadband offered by the local cablewallah has been less frustrating than what Tata Indicom recently subjected me to. Every few days, the internet
connectivity is down but a call to customer care gets the problem rectified in a few hours. This happened again on the 19th of November and I was promised the customary 'within 24 hours' deal. I requested for prompter action since I use the internet for work. Nothing happened of course, not even the next day. By now I was frantically calling up the so-called help desk. As we all know, call centre employees can really get on your nerves with their standard replies. You will not be told what the problem is, or when it will be solved. problem had been solved. I made repeated requests for someone to call me and tell me what the problem was and when it would be solved. The customer care department of course doesn't care about customers, so no one ever responded to my requests. No natural calamities and no
explanations for the internet being down for 48 hours. How's that for good service?
My grudge is why should the customer, who is paying so much, put up with such shabby treatment? Repairing an internet connection is not exactly rocket science and it cannot be so difficult for someone to inform a customer about the nature of the problem and expected time of correction. Surely this is not too much to expect from one of the biggest brands in India? A brand needs its loyal customer base to grow
to bigger heights, and if more customers share my kind of experience, your brand loses out. I am a prepaid customer and have made the mistake of paying for the next six months. I will not make that mistake again.

I , Rajib Ray Chaudhuri , having the wireless internet , the complain of which has been lodged 3 to 4 days earlier . No feedback from tata indicom has been given for the rectification or the repair of my modem. The people at the Park Street office at Kolkata has guided me for lot of options which which is of no use. Sometimes I feel that having the Tata connections is just a favour from the company. I am Surprised to see some many greviences with Tata Teleservice, i am affraid, shall i take their services or not . As i have applied for the Wire it will be installed ,till yesterday every thing went well, i got call from the Installation team last nite , and they were supposed to come at 10 in morning and since then i am waiting for them , i am continously calling Sales Guys ,but only assurances is given. Even looking to your greviances , i think i should go for BSNL Or MTNL where i am sure atleast their services will not be as bad as TTSL .I must say the kind of service was not expected.This happens when JOkers RUN the COmpany and these Jokers dont have Good Cordination with in their Teams .

Hi Guys .. But if You esclate your Problem with Tata Indicom at there available Nodal Officers e mail IDs .. Trust me although they take couple of Days .. but they will ensure that problem will be resolved as per Wish .. But be prepared for more than 10 calls from customer care,to re confirm for the problem which u have raised.
They are not too Bad .. actualls because of privatisation every one need s their problme to be listned first .. but we have to give some time .. as i have realiszed after esclating my problem . BUt at the end the person who is at lowest Designation has to give Explanation .. Which actually should not happen . but anywaz . Every one has different point of view.

I wanted to buy a Internet Connection, which provides STABLE, CONTINOUS, HIGH SPEED services. I had 2 options... RELIANCE & TATA! The only reason I opted for TATA was its REPUTATION, IMAGE & my own past EXPERIENCE.
I bought SURFATHON package. But to my surprise, the service is nowhere near to what TATAs Should provide! I faced the following Problems:
LOW SPEED... SOME TIMES NO SPEED AT ALL... IT JUST SHOWS CONNECTED!
POOR CONNECTIVITY! CAN GET DISCONNECTED ANYTIME.
I dont know who is going to attending my complaint, But he/she is also a employee of TATA! And the name itself reflects TRUST, SATISFACTION.
Its my humble request to please rectify this problem. I am not the only person facing this. Almost all the customer are facing the same.
And please dont send any engineer to my home, as its not the problem with my COMPUTER or the DEVICE.... Its the fault of your infrastructure.
Dont play MARRY-GO-ROUND... Hit BULLs-eye!

I had applied for a new tata wimax connection for STAND ALONE DVR camera with advance payment of 04 months amount of Rs. 4495/- installed on 10/01/09 I told to the installation guy that I must have to ping the (IP) and I don’t need the login at every time.
Otherwise it is useless for me. He shows me internet browsing and says everything would work fine
At the same day evening I try to check out the connectivity through my remote location trying to ping my camera IP but it doesn’t give the response . I just wait in this manner might be there is some technical issues, after that I was on leave for 10 day but still during this period it doesn’t work. Finally I logged the call to Customer care. And they says we send the Engg he would checkout the issue and will work, Engg come down but still nothing happen, he also trying to communicate with his NOC(Technical) Team but they are not able to resolve this issue (THIS IS THE TATA TECHNICAL TEAM APPRICIABLE GUYS) I fallow up for the same for continuous 0I month and directly try to communicate with the NOC Team but they didn’t give any proper response and if by mistake they pick up the phone by these words “ WE ARE TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ASAP” quickly disconnect the phone .
I really very very fed up with their service and decide to disconnect this connection, just logged the call to the customer care for the disconnection and in these word that please give us a single chance to fix up and if in this visit it couldn’t fix up then you can go for termination, I aggered and anyhow their Engg will again come down at my location and try to fix this issue.
In any way I also provide him all the possible support whatever he require from my side, he has continuously communicate with its NOC Team finally problem resolved and it works…….. after 4-5hrs at evening again the connection goes down. I Called up at the same time to their Engg. He told me to that I can’t do anything this fault is from NOC Team. Again try to directly communicate with the NOC Team same as I get the earlier response that we are trying to resolve this issue………..but nothing happen………………Thank you Tata Team
Finally I fix up and decide to disconnect this connection called to customer care they give me the Delhi head office number, called to them again they told me please give us one more chance to fix up. Again I agreed along with the deadline for 1 day but nothing happen wait for 2 day – and 3rd day finally call logged for the disconnection and receive the ref no for termination.
Now the connection was disconnected on 12/02/09, and today I get a call from TATA that we have to return back their property, I told him refund our amount against this connection which I has been paid for four months advance payment Amount of Rs. 4495/- his reply was this that firstly we have to return their property and after that you will get near around 2000/- which was of 02 months not a full amount whereas I didn’t use this connection which was only their fault Is there anybody? to listen us that how much they harass us, and also instead on that they are not ready to ready to return our full amount

Hi, I am kapil suri Mob. 09650490590, purchased your internet connection photon+ dated on 7-06-09 from AM communication Gurgaon. after that some engineer came my home at 7.30 pm dated on 8-06-09 then I came to know the speed of your Photon+ was only 200kbps but at the time of purchased your Area sales manager Mr. Ashish committed me that I will get the speed of minimum speed of 600kbps to 1mbps. This was the first false commitment from TATA Indicom side. Main problem I was faced when I was started my official tour from Gurgaon to UP area dated on 10-06-09. You don’t believe my voice from 10-06-09 to till date your special device Photon+ is not connecting the internet. Firstly I was contacted to AM communication your authorized sales point regarding this problem but they give the number of Mr. Ashish Mob. Number 9212105900. I was replied by Mr. Ashish on 11-06-09 that my problem wail solved within 24 hours but that was the second false commitment from TATA Indicom Side. I had followed to Ashish but no result found. After that I approached to Mr. Sudhesh Pawar on 13-06-09 Area sales manager NCR. Mob.9212000001. Mr. Pawar committed that the problem will solve within 24 Hours but unfortunately no result found. This was the third false commitment from TATA Indicom side. Than I approached to customer care 121 for same complaint, they give me complaint Number 176269677 & 176510085 but no result found. From last 12 days I had complaint to TATA but because of your care less attitude I am facing same problem. From the date of purchased I had used only 15 Minute internet. on 19-06-09 Mr. Amit, your Technical care Executive checked my Modem in Allahabad & said that it is faulty & need to be replace. after that i had received a call from Chandigarh they assured me that when i will come at my home it will replace with in 24 hrs also give me complaint number 176510085.Today on 23-06-09 i went to AM Communication for replacement of Photon+ but they deny to replace it & using harsh language. My internet bill plan is Rs.750/ month & from last 12 days I had not using my internet so I am not paying single rupee for the month of June bill. this is your service Now I will go to consumer forum for justice. termination line after 5 years back see my (2009jan to June 2009), Very very wrost in service and administration.
i today call hema latha madam (Tata Indicom Representative) handy no 928211517 she told Tata indicom have nothing amount to pay repayment for me its has adjust.
previously i have i have Registration time i paid Rs.9710/ on 2003 sep) i have proof of my bank passbook entire.
last one two month back hema latha madam told i have more one thousand rupee for refund we settled that amount soon in now days speaking like this very very pain for very long relationship old customer.
see my all complaint on the month 2008. year i frankly your worst service i not able to continue the business that area so i closed the service and my business too. this fact. Give my Account Statement through courier to my above address

The team provided very wrost service last 2-3 years (2005-08 end) see my complaint id regards no link or cable cut.(your server problem) i have complaint id for all those problems.
now your team give good feed back that i have no refund amount.Playing with business people not good for your business Growth .

This is to bring to your notice that after head breaking follow ups to
your Customer Care and other staffs who are authorized to deal in Noida,
we are bound to write you this mail and highlight the frustration and
harassment and trauma we are going through while dealing with TATA Tel
SERCIVES.
Being a IT development unit we had required un numbers of DATA Cards
from our employees so that they can provide the support to our
outstations clients ( like - USA and Singapore Etc). Some how from
Reliance we have to switch over to TATA for our HSD card requirements.
But after seeing such a poor and unprofessional way by which TATA Tel
deal with their customers we are rethinking to our decision very
seriously.
Points which are pending with TATA TEL.
* DATA CARD SEND FOR REPAIR: - S/N 244CAB1981402907 this hardware
was submitted in your office through our service provided M/S Next Gen
Solutions - Noida on 22nd Nov 2009. Today after 10 days, still we have
not received any update when we will get this card back, and when we
have recently purchased this card, it must be in warranty, then in this
condition why we have to wait till it get repaired. We only accept a new
photon (+) card now. Send the new pack of this card today itself.
* New connection:- We had applied for one new Photon+ connection on 22.10.09. We have received the hard ware (S/No. Z47NAB1992507208) on 28th Oct, till Now 02.11.09 it is not activated. Will you please update us the reason behind it of not getting this card activated till now.

I am Siddharth Mob.8015127609, purchased your internet connection photon+(A/C Number 906198431) been a user for the last 3 months. On 12th April 2010, i was unable to connect to internet and tried calling customer care from 8pm till 12 AM and i was unable to get to speak to the customer care team.
Again on 13th april, i got connected to the customer care and found i have exceeded my limit hence iam disconnected from connecting to internet. The customer care executive has advised me to pay Rs. 5213 immediately to get the connection to activate. I have paid the same amout receipt No:20064757. Again i called the customer care and he has promised to active the same in 2 hours time and raised a ticket No:216704589.
I waited for 4 hours and called the customer care and he apologized as there was an error and asked me to pay Rs.510 and i immedaitely ran to Tataindicom show room and paid the same with the receipt no: 20078304. I immediately called the customer care and informed about my payment and he has raised a ticket no: 215845822 for activation.i was promised that the reactivation will be done in 3-4 hours.Again i called customer care and informed them that iam unable to connect so again a ticket no:216796083 was raised.
On 14th April,i was unable to connect so again called customer care and provided all the Ticket nos and my problem, i was surprised to hear from the customer care that my limit is Rs.11,200 and i have used the complete amount hence kindly repay the full amout to recativate.
I was ready to pay if they have directed me to do so in the first instance.Why did the customer care took my 3 days time?
Being a consultant to many companies i have lost 3 working days by the inefficient service fron Tata customer care. But after seeing such a poor and unprofessional way by which TATA Tel deal with their customers we are rethinking to our decision very seriously.
So far i haven't received any call for the ticket nos raised...I understand the excellent services from TaTa Group to consumers

We are the people who works only with the help of internet connection in Trivandrum Location. We are using 3 Tata Broadband Internet connection. Now the Trivandrum Office is not working in a good manner bcoz nobody will respond on behalf TATA. One of my connection GESBITVM@vsnl.net is not working for the last three days. Already launch a compalint against this but till now nobody respond against this.

Nodal Officer, Uma Roychowdhury has personally committed me through telephonic conversation & also through mail that the issue will be resolved by 15-February-2011, but still the same has not yet been resolved & the TATA Indicom team is resolving the complain numbers without any prior information to the customers mentioning that the problem is resolved in their mails but unfortunately the same still persists & while calling to the Nodal Officer Desk number (+91 33 6555 1113) no one is picking up the call.

WHY????
May I request to the entire mobile service operator to please help me from this issue & take some necessary steps against this TATA Indicom Nodal Officer at the earliest.

This is absolute irresponsible way of handling a customer. I will ensure that none of my friends go with tata Photon or any tata products. Inspite of insisting to speak to somebody more knowledgeable and responsible, I keep getting calls from the same taperecorders, who don't know anything else apart from apologizing for their mistakes and saying a NO WITHOUT GIVING ANY OTHER OPTION. I have decided to take the legal route and I need the address for the head quarters.

I am trying to get broadband connection from tata indicom for last 1 months every time i call toll free number and others number they take my full details e.g. name, phone no, add etc. and say we will get back to you, every time i am facing same problem, but i can get perfect solution from u r company, i would like to request to u that please lookout the matter personally or should i take that tata is no more interested in customer
I m having tata indicom broadband connection at my office and i m very happy with the speed and services.
i m making a mistake by expecting same good services at my residence.
