Dish Tv must be one of the only consumer company that forces its users to contact their dealer to rectify problems rather than providing support themselves. This is a good way of fleecing customers as dealers who help Dish TV sell their product can remain in business by charging fees to attend complaints that are normally addressed free of cost by cable walas. Who knows, Dish TV is hand in glove with dealers; first disrupt transmission, then send dealers to rectify the defect against payment.
Stay away from dish TV if you want peace of mind. Stick to friendly neighbourhood cable wala. I am ruing the day I decided to get Dish TV installed. Imagine, taking 24 to 48 hours to attend to complaints.
