policy of the Company to replace the handset

I was using tata ind since june 2003. on around may'05 I got exchanged my mobile set to LG 5235 .The said handset had
stopped working on 21-6-05 within a short period of about five weeks of its purchase.I immediately visited their N-10
office and and formerly lodged a complaint.I was asked to visit Authorised Service Centre (Arham Infotech Pvt Ltd),
Regal Bldg., New Delhi; So I visited their said Authorised Service Centre, and who reported that the handset had a major
fault of Main Board and that it was going to take minimum at least 2-3 days or more for the set to repair. But I wanted
the set to be replaced with a new one as it had been purchased hardly about five weeks back. I further stressed that
Iwas without the mobile service and the handset and that I am suffering a lot in his business financially. My mobile
service has been disrupted/discontinued by TATA INDICOM due to the faulty handset delivered to him by the company itself
despite paying monthly bills in full without failure.

I purchase it becozcause I had seen the brochures of the company. Through such brochures, I was induced to purchase a
handset. Such brochures contained misleading advertisements and induce public at large to purchase TATA INDICOM products
which are not at all worthy of reliance.

5.That instead of replacing the handset, I was shocked to receive reply that as per policy of the Company, handset
cannot be replaced. It would be pertinent to point out that your reply is totally contrary to the Warranty Certificate,
issued by your Company. Serial No. 3 reads as under:-

â??DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, SELLER OR ITS AUTHORISED SERVICE NETWORK WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT SELLERâ??S OPTION, THE
PRODUCT OR ANY RELEVANT PARTS THEREOF IN THE EVENT THAT THE PRODUCT IS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE.â??

Thus to say that it is not the policy of the Company to replace the handset, is absolutely wrong and the Company has just
tried to waylay the real issue of the provision of proper mobile service to our client. The above mentioned Warranty
Certificate Condition clearly mentions that the Seller can replace the handset, if it opts to do so. Thus the policy
of the Company can be moulded by it arbitrarily on its own whims and fancies, which is not at all warranted under the
circumstances of the case, because the handset became completely unusable within a short period of about five weeks. Now
I have sued them in consumer court .Plz give me more proofs

256Kbps will be divided among the computers

It is true that your 256Kbps will be divided among the computers, but the key is each computer will only pull as much as it needs.
It doesn't mean that each of the computers will get 51Kbps. You might have one computer downloading an iso (cd image, about 700Mb) at a 100Kbps, and then the other 4 computers just doing pure html webbrowsing, and no one will know the difference. Especially since all 4 computers won't be pulling browsing at the exact same time. One person will click, and start reading, and then another, etc, they're not going to be sync'd.
Also, if you share or not, it will be transparent to the ISP, they can't tell, since the sharing scheme you're using is likely a NAT (network address translation). From your side, your computer sends all requests to the NAT box, and the box sends back to you whatever you requested. From the ISP's point of view, they only see the NAT box making requests and all incoming stuff goes to the NAT. The NAT box keeps track of what computer requested what, and returns the data to that computer. Naturally, it can get very complex, but thats the short version.
Either way, sharing seems like a fine idea, depending on what your users are doing. I know that I'm trying to get a similar set up as the one you're talking about. I would have about 7 computers on the network (but probably only half in use at a time), and only one person would be pulling down huge files (me), so I'm aiming for the same.

I got ‘115 kbps Tata indicom high speed internet connection’…….But i gets only 10 or 20 kbps…………..sometimes may be once ina month i get 60 or 70 kbps………So u guys plzzzzz don tak tata indicom connection

BLOCKED by the VSNL server

I am BLOCKED by the VSNL server from my_account, my_usage, my_email. since Oct 2. They have 'Reset" my password without
my permission or knowledge. This is like the Bank Resetting your ATM PIN No. without your knowledge.

The 'Service Engineers' send "Reports" of 'action taken, All OK, without visiting my house!!!

They dont have the courtesy of answering my COMPLAINTS or my E-mails.

The VSNL server is blocking my packets, as verified by tracert(whois). The tech guys know about it. They avoid the
question and hurriedly dissappear when i mention "Server Blockage".

They want payment for "Services NOT rendered" during 0ct2nd to date Dec 2nd. They have a "Server Problem" which has
Blocked me completely. They have 'Software " problems and conflicts, which they dont understand and are unable to set
right. They dont forward " comoplaints " to the concerned 'Field Engineers'. The front End customerCare people dont
understand the problem nor record your statement correctly.



Now BILLING has "DISCONNECTED" me from my 8 week old "DEAD" Connection!!! for non-payment of Bills, when I have NOT been
allowed to use the Internet, After suyccessfully "BLOCKING" me from my own account.



Now, I think they will "disconnect" my already disconnected connection again, since the next months bill is through.

hijacked my account, illegally using my account, wrongfully 'billing ' me for it

What happenned to me is a long story: I cant believe it myself.

The gist : tataindicombroadband.com has hijacked my account, illegally using my account, wrongfully 'billing ' me for it
and has even disconnected the "NON-EXISTANT SERVICE", WITH MY COMPLAINTS (PHONE AND EMAIL) PENDING SINCE 2 MONTHS!!

They have reset my password and i'm unable to login or see my usage.

The "meter " shows >1000mb usage, according to some goon in vsnl. They have billed me without my using the net, decided
i'm default payee, which i never knew, and promptly 'disconnected' my already disconnected line.

They dont even have the courtsy of acknowledging my EMAILs, much less READ them!

2 years incoming free scheme.
