Tata Indicom WLL phone

Sir,
I have applied for cancellation of my Tata Indicom WLL phone no 65221125 on 26th May,2007,and my instrument was collected by company by Receipt no.8D64F71A.
Though it has been passed almost 70 days I have not get my refund
I complained to company on 6th August by complaint no.80595037,I further complained on 9th August by complaint no 80984781,both the time I was colled that company will reply me within 24 working hours,but since now i have any reply by company.
Also i get the bill for July and August for rupees 270 and for rupees 196 respectively though i submit my telephone on 5th jume,2007.
will you please take action on this or tell me where should i go for justice.

It takes 3 to 4 days to get a response on an e mail

This are the contents of a letter I had to write when my upgrade to Infinity 1 Mbps turned into a nightmare. The problem is no service provider is better than what they are. I have had exactly similar problems with Airtel. They are really keen on getting the money without doing the job. Our government though it taxes us would not allow forgien players to come in to protect these looters.

Well if yesterday was bad today was worse. If this is the level of service I am going to recieve its as bad as it can get. Paying your company more has got me into more trouble.
I was getting something like 500 to 550 Kbps (kilobits per second) yesterday which was fine according to my previous plan. The plan which was supposed to have been activated was Infinity 1 Mbps. I got proper speed something around 800 to 900 Kbps for an hour or so in the morning today but after that my speed has plummeted to 50 to 100 Kbps.
I understand that I am to get something like “upto 1 Mbps” and not 1 Mbps exact. Does that mean because I am paying Rs 3600 a month now, I am not even gaurenteed a 512 Kbps that I used to get for Rs 1850. If that is the case then your company has cheated a customer who has bought the best you could give.
I talked to an agent on sunday 1/7/2007 when the plan was supposed to have been changed to 1 Mbps. The case number is 2838812. I called the local Tata engineer around 2 when the issue had worstened. He was no even aware that there was a problem which could only mean that the issue was not escalated. I called the technical support service again. I talked to someone called Om. He just said that the issue was being worked upon and would take time to resolve. Unsatisfied I asked him to let me talk to his supervisor. He blatently told he was the seniormost person available and his manager was in a meeting. How do you employ and then make a stammering oaf a supervisor ? A person so rude and apethtic shouldn’t even talk to people who are paying Rs 120 per day for internet connection from you.
This is an excess on me. If I sum things up from my side, ever since I opted for an upgrade the connection kept on failing every other day. I have called almost every second day since I applied for the upgrade. Then the upgrade did not happen on the promised day that makes sure I pay Rs 60 without any reason to you. I call up your customer service and they waste my time explaing that I should accept the speeds of my previous plan without question. Furthermore a whole 24 hours after the complaint the engineer does not even know that the issue exists. To cap it all the speed I am getting goes down to a tenth of what I should get, a fifth of what I was getting. Worse than anything that has happened since when I call to find out why the engineer never came to know of the problem, I am told by your Supervisor and Senior most member Om most apethtically that the issue is being looked into. To get all this royal treatment a TATA customer pays Rs 3600 a month.
Why do you people have a sham of customer service in here. This is what you call customer service. Do you know the meaning of serving a customer. The way you do it the moment I get a better option I will jump into another boat. It takes 3 to 4 days to get a response on an e mail. There is absolutely no action if I call. I get to talk to people who don’t even know how to talk. Every call centre everywhere in the world has supervisors to handle situations which the agents don’t or can’t or mess up. At your place they simply won’t talk to customers who provides their bread and butter.
I am certainly going to go back to my previous plan if this goes on and I want a refund on whatever extra I had to pay. This is shameless cheating and it better be resolved here than me having to take extreme actions.
I want a reply to this mail if you were hoping to ignore it.

Hey Everyone,
Here’s my Tata Broadband Experience..
This is the worst service that anyone can ever have. MTNL could be better but not Tata.
My experience of having this connection is so pathetic that I am now tired of yelling at the customer service.
O by the way, you have to wait for atleast 10 minutes before you can talk to a customer service agent. Cos the expected wait time is always beyond 10 minutes and they will always ask you to call later.
But if you have patience and also luck to get through, you might talk to an agent who can do nothing but generate a customer complaint number for you.
God know what am I supposed to do with that number.
And after calling them continuously for 15 days, when you loose your patience, that agent literally puts you on mute while you are talking.
So the point is ..theres no point calling them.
Mine is a prepaid connection. So factually speaking , I have wasted Rs.4200/-, coz they take 6 months payment in advance which cannot be refunded; Even when they dont give you service.
So after being tired of calling them again and again and again, finally I had no choice but track down the cable myself.
I actually went behind the cable which came to my house, and went over the roof top, and then again came down the building.
So after all this stunt I found that the cable is broken at the pole next to my building.
Cool!!! now as I was happy to find the problem, and was assuming that since I have told them the problem, they might be able to correct it asap.
But no…I completely forgot that it was bloody TATA INDICOM.
Now its been 5 days that I am calling them everyday and telling that the cable is broken and please send someone to repair it.
They have a a really beautiful answer framed for me ..”Maam, our Engineers are working on it.”
When I ask them how much time it will take, they would again beautifully say, “I cannot committ about that maam, but I assure it will happen soon”…
hehe…
So all I can do now, is assume that my money is wasted.
I have now activated Mobile office on my Airtel Cell phone, and use my cell for Internet connection.
The speed is like a normal Dialup connection which I can live with for now.
O well, something is better than nothing.
So that was my Tata Indicom experience…
O and did I tell you that I am an exemployee of Tata Indicom and I worked in the Mobile division for 2 years.
So if Tata can offer such service to its own employees, then you can imagine what you will go through.
So my friends…Please take my advice…

Tata indicom broadband technicians

My request for shifting of connection is pending for over 50 days.In this period i have called customer service and the tata indicombroadband technicians over 300 times and still my shifting is pending.
Every time i call them i hear a bunch of lies…Tata indicom broadband technicians will tell a blant lie that they will get the connection working today but when you call them they will either switch of their mobile or will not pick up(although one workaround for this issue is to call from different PCO’s to make them answer your call).CAlling the customer care number 60607070(hyderabad) is waste of time..as these lying technicians dont update their CRM tool(customer query database with the truth)
In my case after calling one Mr.Ravi (tolochowki,hyderabad) i managed to get the cabling done after 40 days but this person has lied to his own office by not updating their system as when i called the customer care they said its updated to them as its not feasible(there was no mention about the cabling tata people did at my home).
Now i am still waiting for the connection to get activated..I have been without internet for over 60 days and i am also billed Rs1800 and i am being harrased by tata billing department to pay the bill.
I have decide i have had enough and have decided to take it up to http://ncdrc.nic.in/.
Airtel does not provide in my area and bsnl has no ports.
Please be aware of tata indicombroadband service…Tata is a great enterprise with great reputation.But a few nto worthy employees spoil the name of the company!
If any one(in hyderabad) is interested in taking this issue with consumer redressel forum legal action please contact me by replying.

I was using Tata Indicom

Hi,
I was using Tata Indicom from Last 1 year due to one reason that the incoming on roaming was absolutely free.But i discontinue the services in may, 2007 beacuse one gud day i got an sms frm 121 that my o/s bill is Rs.7500.00. I called CC & the reply was tat they had withdrawn the roaming incoming services & now I’ve to pay that huge amount.

Mr RATAN TATA your name is a trusted Hallmark in indian industry

My connection was installed on 28th March and story is the same as described by all frustrated customers above. The connection has been available barely for two working days in the period of more than two months and with a 6 month prepaid connection worth Rs 2800 around, there seems to be no possibility of refund. There has been innumerable no of complaints and have already spent around half of the connection value in mobile bills. Let us unite and form an email chain since TRAI doesnot take individual complaints but entertains the complaint against an ISP whose service conditons are pathetic in general. I believe the respondents to this blog can form a sizeable community to have the notice of TRAI.
Mr RATAN TATA your name is a trusted Hallmark in indian industry,in case you come across this blog or your people draw your attention to this pathetic service levels please take immediate action before it is too late……

Let me pen down the last 2 experiences that I had with tata indicom internet connection that I have, at my Chennai suburban home.
First time we had a disruption was in May 2007, and it was reported by the CS people there was a cable cut near our area. I kept on calling them day after day, and there was just no real update about what is the progress of when the issue will be resolved. I just got mad with these responses, but of no use. The connection was restored only on the 12th- imagine …12 days to repair a cable cut in the locality!!! After repeated plies i was given 12 days credit to my prepaid plan. But who will compensate for my last 12 days grief of not having a net connection for which I had paid???
2nd and similar problem happened during last friday. Similar experiences follow, and this time any response from the tech person came only on the 5th day, saying they have restored. Till then i had no clue of what is happening-other than what i heard it as a cable cut , and no sign of when it will be restored, ya of course- ‘it will be corrected in 10 working hours’ still remian.
Other than these loong cuts, we regularly have minor disruption of the connection EVERY day atleast once or twice.
i dont think any other internet connection will be having so many issues that comes along with it free, according to whatever i have heard from my friends who are using other ISP’s services.
tata indicom customer service is PATHETIC is the plain summary.
My bit of advice: Dont ever go with tata indicom UNLESS u dont have any other GO in your locality. I had to, since BSNL was not giving new connection during april 07 in our area, airtel was not providing service in that locality during that time :-(. i have heard from my friends that airtel has got very responsive customer service. Any one going for a new connection- be advised of this, and do confirm from your friends/locale.

net connection is not functioning properly

in our office the net connection is not functioning properly since the net has been installed,though regular complaints ve been filed there is no betterment.such a situation from tata company seems very serious regarding their custemer support.please attend the mater immedietly.

Tata Indicom Non-Stop Mobile

I took two Tata Indicom Non-Stop Mobile in october 2005.
I got both mobiles recharged when my balance was Rs.30/-
Initially there was no charge for incoming and outgoing calls between both Tata Mobiles perhaps upto march-07.
Now this is being charged and my balance is reducing on every outgoing calls between both Tata Mobiles.
Please rectify the mistake and credit the amount charged on both Mobiles for outgoing calls between both Tata Mobiles.
