The TATA broadband sales guy threw up his hands.

I tried taking a connection last year, they did not give it for next 1.5 months. The TATA broadband sales guy threw up his hands. He gave me the number of the top boss , some “davendra” or something. he did not lift phone. I put my phone on auto redial and continiously rang him for 8 hours straight.e shitched off the mobile. After some time, he switched on agai (i know as my phone was on redial). I also called one more dude in HO. He called this davendra guy on another line and put me on confrence. Davendra then gave the lamest excuse that the building secretary did not give permission. I told that my company owner is the the building secretary. The HO guy asked him to send my cheque back.
I have now joined another company and they took a usb wirless card from sangil (spell). the person to install it never came, so i did it myself. Then second day i got disconnecter (error 721), i called the helpline. The dude had no idea what this card was. I called after 2 hours, the next dude askem me to call another number. I called, they said, your outgoing is barred, I asked why? They said its internal descision, they cannot tell me. My connection will be restored in 6 hours :(.
then the sites wouldn’t load. i called em up again. A service dude came, he bad mouthed his own company and went. Another engineer came and told m that data transfer in CDMA is slow (BUHAHAHAHAHAH, what a joke). Anyway he went off and increased the power of transmitor. problem not solved.
Now i am disconnected as my usage limit exceeded. i told tham you never told me ho much it was. Anyway i asked them to restore it, i will transact through credit card. he said no, first pay through card then he will rstore. I asked him, how to pay online if they have barred my service? (HAHAHAHAHAH)
i ended up going to TATA center and paying up extra so as not to disconnect me again. Its straight 6 hours, the dudes have not done it. Now i am using sify. i googled and go this forum. i wrote.

I am agree with all ya guys …….. Its a worst thing to use tata. its a bullshit .I ‘ve nt use my connection continuosly since i m registerd wit it .
They dn even ‘ve good staff when i registered mah prob aggaisnt the connection then the engineer always the prob has been sorted but m facin that prob again when i try to connect the net….

I had initially tried out Tataindicom in the month of july 2006

Hi Folks…..
I had initially tried out Tataindicom in the month of july 2006…According to the plan, i paid 4 months advance (i.e around 2900 bucks)….this waived my installation charges…for two months everything went preety smoothly..though in between twice i had to raise complaints for disconnection which took them rough aroung 2 weeks to fix…After those two months, the connection went doen and never came up….i called anyone & everyone in that crap tataindicom provider office n those shits didnt come to fix the problem….after around 3 months they came out with a receipt of 165 bucks as outstanding….i told the guy just disconnect the shitty tataindicom connection and do whatever with the ammount that was there in my account as i had already paid the amount in advance….
now, when i m plannin to get a net connection, i am really scared to go for any provider….all seem to be in the same shitty boat

I took up a Tata broadband connection on 21st May 2007, the connection was available till 22 evening and after that I am just begging to all Tata Indicom Service/Technical guys to get the connection back.
This is worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I have called their call center every alrenate days and no proper response at all. I have registered a complaint . Nobody is caring to repond back properly. I strongly suggest to tell all your freinds not to take up any connection with TATA.
Their are looting all our money and giving the worst service in the world.
Guys please , also let me know is there a way we could file a case against them. I’m really frustrated.

I took up a Tata broadband connection two months ago, there was quite lot of frequent issues in connecting to broadband. I applied for a change in address and it is around two months and still havent got the connection.
This is worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I have called their call center every alrenate days and no proper response at all. I have registered around 4 complaint add have the numbers too. Nobody is caring to repond properly. I strongly suggest to tell all your freinds not to take up any connection with TATA.
Their are looting all our money and giving the worst service in the world.
Guys, also let me know is there a way we could file a case against them. I’m really frustrated.

My experience with TATA INDICOM

My experience with TATA INDICOM has been frustrating to be the least. i will never take broadband from it again.
My account shows 30 MB left and these people wouldnt let me use it. If I try to open a website it routes to their website asking to recharge.
I have paid for every MB i have bought,its my right to use it? how can they stop me? where are the customer rights? is there any way for redressal of my grievance.

Another one, after being so harassed by Tata Indicom.
I am a customer of their broadband service in Mumbai. On 18th April, my subscription was to expire. So, I got myself a renewal pack and renewed on the 17th April. 18th April onwards I could not log on and surf. While trying to check the account that the web site told me that I did not have sufficient money in my account.
So, I called tata indicom’s call centre and after much effort, they managed to locate that the money was topped up, but the account validity for some reason had not gotten extended. The suggestion was for me to buy another renewal pack and renew again, which I refused to do. I was given a complaint number. Since then I have been calling every other day to check on the status, and every some days they cancel my previous call and provide me another complaint number. Thus ensuring that the age of the complaint is never much.
Since the 18th April, I have not been able to use my internet account. I was called once day before and told that the problem had been rectified, but that was untrue. I have called twice today and I am given the same long useless story. When I asked for a supervisor, I was denied the opportunity to talk to any supervisor.
And today, Tata Indicom sends me an email (as below) saying that my account has been made inactive.
This, I think is straightforward incompetence and now they are sitting on my money and earning interest and have shown no interest to sort the issue out.

Thanks for all the necessary information folks. I was determined some moments ago to go for the TATA BROADBAND. OOps!@ there are already so many unsatisfied customers. Thank you all for your blogs. Keep posting. I think BROADBAND itself has become a national CRISIS—->
Where to go?
What to do?
Are all of the providers same?
is there no one PROVIDER who can claim that “I AM THE BEST”?
But we need to specify and point out one issue that all Private providers are leasing directly or indirectly through VSNL only. If its true, then no point banging our heads on service, infrastructure backbone and QOS.
They need to understand atleast one thing that investing on advertisements and marketing does not help if there is no fulfillment in quality of service.
Even the national stock markets are down for VSNL.
I do not know who are the big heads for the VSNL’s or TATA’s but they need to resolve the problem as soon as possible and not subdue the problem as if it never really occured. Never trust on your Brand image “Sirs” because brand image changes with the change of time and opinion.
Till then, this blog will have enormous volume and more unsatisfied and disgruntled customers will keep plunging to avenge their innocence.
TATA plz do not play with our patience and belief! Do something!!

TATA INDICOM Connection

Hi, i seem to have the same problem with TATA INDICOM Connection. Though they gave me my pre-paid connection after 15 days of repetitive calling. Their connection went down in about a week. Eventually the local service guys were not to be seen nor were they reachable. Frustrated, i had to ask for my connection to be disconnected. The customer support was prompt on acting on the same and my connection was disconnected. With over 1800 balance remaining, i was wondering if i would ever get lucky in getting my amount back.
Would the router provided be of some use in the outside market.
With so many customers having the same problems with TATA INDICOM, isn’t there a TOP GUY we could interact with and make them aware of what they offer. As of today, the incompetent frontline wade of frustrated customers, with their mails.
Should someone come across any email address of someone working high on the corporate ladder, please post a comment.
Would the Courts of India offer some recourse.
