tata broadband sucks

Its true that services of tata broadband sucks.. I mistakenly opted tata broadband with 6 months prepaid connection with unlimited usage on 29-09-06, but from the very starting of its dull services, every week my connection remains disconnected for 1-2 days, and if sometimes it works, it works in the morning and disconnects automatically after 4pm & again restarted next morning.. It is to be noted that i have opted for unlimited usage.. All Customer care executives & engineers are duffers, from 18 feb i have lodged 5 complaints for the same problem which they close with their own wish, without resolving the problem..
I request you all to plz provide me any email id of chairman, md or vp of vsnl if you people have, so that i can esclate the issue..

VSNL dial up connection

Since 1999 I have been having VSNL diap up connection. There was a balance of about 30 hours. But the period of validity was about to end in February 2006 or so. VSNL asked me to have a renewal package. I opted for 50 hours with its validity upto July 2006.Before leaving for US for a stay of six months in April 2006 , I sent a mail to customer service of Tataindicom. I got a reply stating that I can have a broadband or dial up package soon after my return and have the balance lying in Dial up transferred. On Novmber 2006, Tataindicom VSNL representatives approched me. When asked, they said that the balance in Dial up will be transferred to Broadband. I opted for a broadband connection on 9.11.2006. When mailed, I received from customer service a mail stating that the balance in dial up has been transferred to broadband. On the contray the Usage details did not reflect the transfer of balance. Customer relations executives in Tataindicom VSNL speak in different voices at different times. One executive says it is transferred. Another says there is no balance to be transferred. Another says they do not have the details.I asked Tataindicom to furnish the name, designation and address of the designated officer under the Right to Information Act. Everyone in Tataindicom parades his/her ignorance about the existence of such an Act. As a matter of fact, information about the Right to Information Act was provided by me to them. Customer service, corporate social responsibility, customer’s supremacy are all jargons pressed into service to cheat the gullible customers. It is unfortunate that there is a hidden agenda even in a Company under the Chairmanship of Mr Ratan Tata(which he may not be aware of) Besides the customer service units, there should be a GRIEVANCE CELL. All e-mail IDs of Tataindicom executives shown in websites are outdated. When they do nt even update these details, how can one hope for upgradation in technology? Broadband speed adopts the gallopof a snail. Connections fail at regular intervals. Customer service sheds crocodile tears.Tataindicom just cares two hoots for customers. It is again unfortunate that they are not aware of the fact that RETAINING CUSTOMERS IS CHEAPER THAN ATTRACTING CUSTMERS. Is it not GOODWILL THAT IS SEEN AS AN ASSET THAT NO MARKET FLUCTUATION CAN TILT. IN TATAINDICOM, it looks as though they have taken the first decision not to take any decision. Mr Ratan Rata should create a GRIEVANCE CELL so that customers with genuine complaints can by-pass customer service (as a matter of fact it is customer disservice) and reach him. TATAS WHOSE HAND WE WANT TO HOLD DESPITE THESE HURDLES. HELP US TO HELP YOU. LET US WORK TOGETHER AS PARTNERS IN PROGRESS. The ball is now in Mr Ratan Tata’s court.

I applied for shifting my TATA connection and it took two months than also they have not shifted my connection.

VERY POOR AND THIRD-CLASS SERVICE for internet connection shifting.

all have exp with the Tatas..

I must say that is what my initial reaction was, while browsing these comments… !!!!
Im from kolkata…
we had a BNSL business plan… instrestingly the service was sometin similar to which u all have exp with the Tatas..
the connection was never available.. n customer service is pathetic… though must confess the speed (whenver the net serice was available) was gr8… but it was nvr up…
n then as busines demanded we finally had to shut BSNL 4 a reliabe connection we tried Tata.. after gettin gud customer service report from our business circle…
this is the truth…
apllied Sat evening at say 1.00pm..
mon..
11.00am… ppl come n fix wire…
2.30pm… ppl come 4 installation…
2.45pm.. broadband runnin in gud condition…
well i guess at different places…
different service providers can get a different ratin…

i took a handset along with prepaid connection for Rs 1200.it was SIM based connection,though freebees were offerd,it had a very high rate of outgoing calls to non tat no.s.after a few days ,i was offered to shift to postpaid sdervice ,with a cash deposit of Rs.600.00.and with a promise of much lower call rates,lot of free time talk time thrown in etc etc.
BUT I FIND I AM PAYING MORE FOR THE SAME SERVICES (in the post paid) WHICH OTHER WISE APPEARED COSTLIER IN PREPAID VERSION.
They all(private service providers) cheat.

I am using Tata Indicom landline phone

Hi,
I am using Tata Indicom landline phone from Nov 2004 but from last one year I am facing the call lost, call failed and signals breaking problem and I already raised 40 to 50 complaints and all were closed without any solution. When I tried to call there customer care they not response properly and if I asked why you closed my complaint they said our “Engineer visited your place and everything is working fine” but in reality nobody visited in my premises. Even when I tried to talk to senior person (Manager or Senior Manager) in the Customer Care Dept they are not available at anytime and even I not received any call back from their side.
Customer Care team leader said contact to Zonal office in Delhi. I already visited that place almost 15 days ago but there is no response from their side. In zonal office I met 2 guys they provide there numbers but after that days there numbers always switch off.
If I said anything in the Customer care they said behave as a “professional”. Please any body tells me why Tata Indicom guys not behaving as a “Professional”. Why they are not ready to resolve my problem.
I appreciate if something resolve my problem soon.

VSNL Broadband connection.

Dear Friends
Ithink we are all sailing in the same boat as far as VSNL Broadband connection.
Whant intrigues me more is the way their CSD is working.We can not at any point reach above the callcenter personnel.Even the CS person visiting your houe/Office does not have proper ID.
Even for downtime credit we have to be at their mercy.

I have been using tatabroadband for almost 2 years now and never had many complaints. Three months back i get a bigger than normal usage and just out of curiousity i checked and to my horror finds that they are showing wrong usage For eg - it shows 400MB usage in a day and the duration for that day is 48 Hours. I would never have realised if the duration shown wa snot so absurd. I complained to the provider but still got the bill for disputed usage and then when I compalined again somebody calls and say just pay up 1000 bucks and we will settle that bill. What kind of attitude is that- I need to know why such an error can happen. What if i claim that TATA is adding 10 MB extra everytime i log in and so am paying for 10 MB extra every time i login.
Am planning to take them to court. Time TATA delivered to what their name stands for TRUST.

TATAS HAVE PUT THEIR HAND IN ALL PLACES BUT WITH NO CO-ORDINATION BETWEEN TEAMS, COMMITMENT TO THE CUSTOMERS. THEY HAVE HIGHEST AVAILABLE BANDWIDTH, BUT BECAUSE OF LACK OF SERVICE / COMMITMENT THEY WILL BE LOOSER IN ALL THE SERVICE SECTOR(INCLUDING TELECOM).
I HAD LOT OF RESPECT FOR TATA AS AN OLDEST INDIAN BUSINESS FAMILY BUT I LOST ALL BY OPTING 2 SERVICES FROM THEM.
1 IS TELEPHONE AND OTHER IS BROADBAND.
THEY WILL GIVE YOU AN OLD NON WORKING INSTRUMENTS, NON RELIABLE SERVICES AND LOT OF FRUSTRATION(FREE OF COST).
AIRTEL IS FAR BETTER AS COMPARE TO THESE *******
I REQUEST EVERYBODY WHO IS GLANCING THROUGH THIS- PL TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO OPT ANY SERVICES FROM TATA EVEN IF IT IS FREE OF COST. THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT BY LOOSING THERE MENTAL PEACE.
What i have written to customer care, who does not even respond to the mails.
We have taken broadband connection in the month of November.The marketing persion as like any other persion promissed to have uptime of 99%. But reality is not even 60% uptime we are receivning.
For any thing CS says the they will REVERT BACK(not resolve) on the problem in 24 hrs(till then just shut your office and go on holiday). Even if after 24 hrs problem persist, they will say that is turn around time and people are still working on the problem. Ask them what is the problem. They will not have any clue about it.
They do not having any efficient system.
Every time they will tell, they will escalate the matter, Ask them what is the escalation matrix they have(They dont have any), and ask them to transfer the call to team lead/ manager they will never do that, some of there team member will come online and tell you he is TL.
What i have written to them
We have been facing lot of problem regarding frequent disconnection and server going down frequently. The total downtime exceeded for the first month is more than 200 hrs due to server down(details was provided by MR. Manish of TATAs ). And also more then 80 hrs because of person not visited to collect the money(as told by customer care).
While asking for the waiver in the rentals they said they can provide waiver only for “NO LINK” problem. They can not provide the waiver for “SERVER DOWN” problem (I THINK THEY DO NOT OWN THE SERVERS).
I further connected to the support team but every now and then there is a problem of disconnection, I connected the people who reported and promised the connection will work fine - Mr. Manis(9243100176) and also Mr. Siriram (66161709) . They said they have a limited/NO power back up on the server, If there is problem with the power, we will have to suffer with this disconnection (REALLY SHAMEFULL in this era of internet when every body will have alternate powersupply).
I really wonder how they can provide any reliable service to the businesses.
As this connection i am using for business purpose, and facing lot of problems, If services will remain like this I will have to look for some alternate to this.
