From a very dissatisfied customer.

I got connection on 21st Nov 2006 and accessed the internet for 1 day.It was really good.Sudddenly no connection from DAY 2 and we logged a COmplaint with Customer CAre all in vain.
We got a response from the Engineers that the problem would be looked at and resolved in 2 hours but they haven’t turned up till date. They state that there is a cable problem. If so, Why was the connection given and how did it work for a day???
After repeated follow ups without any resolutions, am left with no choice but to report the issue to the consumer forem if not resolved in 2 working days from now.

I have read the pathetic experience of Tata broadband users

I have read the pathetic experience of Tata broadband users. I am one of the victim and suffering like many others. I have not seen such a hopeless service provider. Complaints are not attended at all although the call centre personnel assure resolving problem within 24 hours. In case you have any enemy, I would suggest recommending Tata Broadband to him. Using Tata broadband is the biggest punishment one can ever have.

Even I would like to share the agony I had to face getting a Broad band connection.
TATA INDICOM IS PROMPT IN MAKING 1000 CALLS TO ASK FOR PAYMENT BUT DOES NOT BOTHER TO MAKE ONE CALL TO ATTEND A CUSTOMER COMPLAINT REQUEST
I got connection on 20 oct 2006 and accessed the internet for 2 days.It was really good.Sudddenly no connection from DAY 3 and we logged a COmplaint with Customer CAre.
It took them 20 NOV 2006 to come home to see the Connection.They then told us that connection is rectified but account in INACTIVE..
It came like a BOLT OUT OF A BLUE SKY..We had no connection but ended up paying 800 Rs for the Bill for which no reminder call was made to us, NO HARD COPY OF BIll Etc..
THey have promised a discount in the bill as we did not have the connection.. BUT GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT THEY WOULD DO…
I dont know How people can market their products when they dont have the sufficient man power to handle the enormous business..
its not enough for TATA to enter into business in all secotrs, quality of CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS A LOT!

made payment immediately by credit card

I made the payment of Rs 571 by cheque for datacard for month of Sept ‘06 (18/10/06). Realising that the cheque is not honoured by the bank, made payment immediately by credit card and the same was reflected in the statement of subsequent month (29/10/06) and outstanding balance was shown as nil. But to my shock got the lawer’s notice on 18th (dated 14/11/06)to make the payment within fortight!

tata is looting everywhere in broadband services

I agree to the fact that tata is looting everywhere in broadband services. i had been using since april 8th this year and i was promised that there is waiver of installation and deposit if i pay four months advace for a postpaid connection. i paid 2204 Rs. for the same. my connection was working till july end and then the services terminated continuous follow up about 35 complaints to call centre and pune office at near ad labs mr govind sing kandhari area manager tells me that you have to pay 2395 Rs which is wrongly gernerated by their systems and that will be adjusted afterwards in next months bills. i do not unerstand when i already paid 4 months advance i.e. april may june july and no bills are due from my side why i should pay the outstanding generated by their systems. Ratan Tata should look into this personally such cases all over the country i do not have his mail add and i dont know he may find such small instance as a forteller of his bussiness fate. As i got to know from one of his representative who came for feasability report on another bb connection booked by me that the policy of the company is not to give post paid connection and get away with all the post paid connection already given. As company has taken over VSNL which is the gateway for all mobile and internet connection they know in advance the government policy for next six month or so they plan to loot the ignorant customers of india. They also set up a monopoly in pune as p c m c is not giving any other company who would like to go ahead with internet wi fi services. This miserable state should be taken note by all international and indian companies to cope with tata the looters of india. Its shame on the Big Bussiness house of india who now merely wants to grow on poor middle class customers but should know that once they discard u then in your life time u will never comeup again. please take this as a caution for your services all over.

I too request people not to go for TATA INDICOM broadband connection

I too request people not to go for TATA INDICOM broadband connection. I just got connection last month, that after struggle of 15 days. They behaved as if they are doing favor by giving me broadband connection. It worked for 2-3 days, then there was technical problem, which took sweet time to rectify and just before one month they sent me a hefty meaningless bill, I tried calling up customer service lot of times with no results, finally I have decided to get it disconnected. This also is taking time, result is VSNL broadband means torture and mental agony. I request people not go for this, if they have other better options.

I have been using tata indicom

I have been using tata indicom, bangalore for the last two months, and what i think is, tata’s service is not bad. It has been very good so far, save for a few down times.
And one thing, i havent got the router password. Does anyone know what passwords those engineers keep for the routers kept at our place.
In all, I say tata is very much better than SIFY. SIFY’s the real one looting the customers. First they dont provide a reliable service, second they trick customers about unlimited downloads (But only 150 during the day). Thirdly, they have alot of restrictions on how we use the connection(like only one computer can connect, MAC address binding.. and what not).
SIFY sucks. Never get it!

Here in Pune, my connection is down from last 2.5 months

Here in Pune, my connection is down from last 2.5 months. My experience with Tata Indicom/VSNL is not much different from other’s experiences here. Basically, their backend team is totally non-functional. Making call to call centre does not help as they give their standard line of “will be solved within 24 hours…”.
It will be really good if one of us can get list of email id and phone numbers of Tata Indicom’s managers and post it here. Calling to call centre is like hitting your head on the wall.

I have no internet connection from April 1

I have no internet connection from April 1st going off and on and for days making it really frustrating and afraid of login. finally on April 9th complete shut down and I raised complaint on April 11th and i persued with them till July 17th to get my connection back or pay back the installation and deposit money. I sent several emails to TRAI(not sure,if they are really custodians and responsible). Now the joke part in once i got my connection, billing dept is after me to pay me bills:-
I explained that before server problems, I paid in advance 2000 Rs, and i had no connection for 3.5 months. Since they do not have toll free number, and cannot be reached from BSNL(No pulse) my mobile bills got a soaring. The irritation was to keep us on hold for long time and disconnect me, saying ” every one is busy call back later”
who is going to pay my bills?
A week back some one called and asked for bill and i explained about black out for 3.5 months( Loss of professional, career and personal) also reminded them of further 2 week black out in September. I requested for detailed bill with all the time of black out.
She promised to get back in 2 days, I see my internet being disconnected. :-
I going to consumer forum, Please support me and let us all file together to get the officials of Tata to knees, who are hiding behind with no response.

Many many more all to get my connection or get my deposit and installation back, so that i can have other vendor. But all i got was big fat Mobile bill owing to poor customer service.( deliberately as they are aware of server issues).
