It sucks Tataindicom with third party franchise like cable operator
Stay away from Tatabroadband rather go for Airtel. Tataindicom does not work on its own it has got everything with third party like cable operator, also cable also comes from a distance. Wherein airtel dont have any franchise like cable operator they do have everything of there own and hence better service and no disconnect between two parties

So, please do not get into those cheats.

Same here, I just feel cheated by this Tata Indicom Guys. They layed out a cable within 2 days of me applying for it and I felt that their network ois really good. But this latsted only for couple of days as I had to get behind them to configure the network. After lot of calls being made to them their engineer called me up and asked me to configure the router and other network stuff on phone, And yes the internet stared working but the line was down within couple of days…and I have been calling up their customer care since then…I have already spent hundreds of rupees calling up these guys and the issue is not resolved. It has been more than a week nothing has been confirmed from their side…I feel like kicking myself for not having done the proper homework…I should have had checked on the internet about their service…and I am doing it now. So Please let your friends know wbout this and let them not fall Trap to these guys….

I have a prepaid tata connection

Hi,
I have a prepaid tata connection in Mumbai. It has been down for nearly half the time. Everytime it was down I have made complaints and asked for refund. They said that they would extend the validity by 10 days when I was acreaming at them. But now they refuse to do so. Its not only the money I paid for their conn, its also those long calls made for complaints that I have to take teh hit. They DONT have a toll free number for even calls. You end up paying a long phone bill on top of their monthly charge.. I had also made billing complaints to them. Can anyone tell me how to get to some of their senior people or an email address for compalints.
They are just looting people. Why cant TATA a phone company afford to have a toll free number for calls.?

NEVER GO FOR TATA BROADBAND

Tata Broadband sucks - the customer service is pathetic. I had a downtime of 4 days twice in the last 3 weeks. That's eight days of no service in a span of 21 days! Crazy!! And the company's personnel are hard to reach, don't give proper replies. They don't have toll-free number, so everytime I call, I am made to pay huge mobile bill for each call, with a wait time of 12 minutes or more and another 10 minutes to argue with the customer service. The local engineer had taken away my router and did not return as promised. Only after threatening them, did they decide to send a replacement after 4 days!
NEVER GO FOR TATA BROADBAND if you want peace of mind.

I have a tataindicom post paid mobile

I have a tataindicom post paid mobile and i want to have a online bill for my last payment .
how can i have it.

I have been told that

I have been told that pay 6 months internet acess charges and u will get installation free with a week, forget about installation it took me a month to take money back from the tata broadband’s agent.

Finally the connection restored

Finally the connection restored on 18th August 2006 after a long ticket battle and several reminders after more than 70 days. When I check my vsnl webmail, I had a mail for paying a latest bill for Rs 901/-. I was shocked to not that how can i be billed when the connection was not avilable for 2 months. I have created 2 tickets in this regard, but as usual, they didnt bother to call me. I mailed them for the expalnation for the bill and this is the mail I got from them. See the complete mail trail

Yes true.
TATA INDICOM IS BULL SHIT, Engineers are MOTHER FUCKERS.
One of the engineers, due to my constant pressure to repair my connection whenever the connection was down, once called me and threatened me that my connection was not workig because I have been browsing illegal websites. I got so scared if I there was any harmful application running without my knowledge in my system that does this, and I had to format/scrub my HDD. I will be more than happy if someone gave me a better swear than “MF”to swear the tata Indicom engineer MF

IT SEEMS THEY ARE PURPOSEFULLY DISCONNECTING NET CONNECTION OF PREPAID CUSTOMERS.
I HAD PAID FOR 6 MONTHS UNLIMITED CONNECTION AND I HAVE USED THIS STUPID CONNECTION HARDLY 3 WEEKS
WHY MANAGEMENT IS KEEPING SILENT OR I THINK ITS A COMPANY WITHOUT ANY MANAGING DIRECTOR….A BIG CHEATER

Personal experience -
You try contacting these people for connection — they will hardly revert back to you — they will run from you as they own you some money. Leave aside small cities, I tried this personally in PUNE.
There are no direct numbers to enquire — call centers numbers will suck your money keeping you in queue for hours.
Shoot an email to them and forget it… you will definitely receive the reply in 2 - 4 months.
Websites hosted on server with Biggest and reputed datacenters like RACKSPACE won’t resolve. They won’t open up. Normal layman websurfer will think that website is down or not present — but infact DNS servers of Tata are troublesome and hence website display page not found error though it is very much present.
I am suffering this problem since more than one year… they couldn’t resolve this despite several attempts.
Behaviour and responce of these people is like Government Babu working - egoist - slow - deaf ear.
I am waiting for the day when war between ISP’s will start for business….. these guys will suffer then.
One competent rival for them is Reliance currently and it is surely going to hit them hard.
Every big company starting a new thing in India always tries to suck at best instead of give away anything for the benefit of citizens.

I was a Tata broadband customer

I believe i also have the same woes. I was a Tata broadband customer for 3 months and in those 90 days for which i used to pay about 945rs for 64kbps unlimited connection i only could access it for 65days which means that 25 days were wasted which nearly equals one month. Tata had a genuine problem in their servers because of which i could login to their servers but i coudlnt access their net. Also if i had made a complaint it used to take 5-6 days to process it. This used to happen atleast once or twice in a month thats how i lost a total of 25 days. Also despite of complaining at Tata’s customercare my complaints fell on deaf ears. As this happened nearly a year ago i think its too late to complain but i still need to share this with you guys. Also when i shifted to Sify whose services have been good Tata people still had the nerd to call me up and ask me torenew my internet connection.

On 11th of Feburary, 2006 a representative of yours named Harish Singh Bisht came knocking on my door, to sell(or fool me) with a new tata indicom Broadband connection. After some discussion I agreed( or got Fooled) to buy the Surf 500 Pre paid scheme connection( Name: Richard Mascarenhas, Amount paid: Rs 414, Cheque No: 636100, Dated:11-2-2006, Application No: 0764117, which was later changed to 373487, after my calls to you customer care no ). After some days a wire was was put outside my house(Which remains at the same state till date).
Later on I received a call from your company saying that, they were Incapable of providing a connection at my home and that my money of Rs 414, will be returned back , which I have still not got.
I made several calls to Mr.Harish Singh Bisht, but was not able to get him online(for some or the other stupid reasons i.e: gone for lunch, out of town, he is not here, I am his friend speaking….) and now his cell no(9811679526) is Out of Service.
I also made several calls to your customer care no and the only reply I got from them was that the money has been dispatched and it would be reaching in a week’s time..and my wait is still not over…And by the way now your consumer care no too is also not working(011 66500121).
It is not a matter of money but my wonder, that how many people like myself are fooled by you guys and that too from a company carrying the name of the legendary Shri Jamshedji Tata. He would surely will be turning in his grave right now.
I do not intend to get a reply from you but I want answers and action’s or perhaps it is me who would have to do the actions part.

All above fucking complaint number given by the fucking staff of the call center were actually the “Track your enquiry” generated when you request a connection on the website.
All the staff and customer service people are mother fuckers and there only work in the call center is shagging around.
I wish the top brass of this organisation visit and face the same problems and talk given by this stupid fucking customer service
These people are real takin the public for a tride, would like to know if this can be taken up reqistering a complaint with the police or any law in India.
