Is Mr Ratan Tata listening ?

My internet connection (ankitabhasin@eth.net) works for a few days, and then suddenly goes off for 5-6 days. This has been happening for the past 10 months or so. The people at the Prashant Vihar DSLAM should hang their heads in shame for creating so much ill-will in my mind for the TATA name. I took this connection becuz of the TATA name. One calls up the customer service number and is put on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes, to be then responded to by a customer service officer who promises you the work in in progress !I am thoroughly fed up. The guys responsible for this messup should be punished for their carelessness. Is Mr Ratan Tata listening ?

It is a horrible experience

It is a horrible experience. I have already paid for the broadband service 3 months back and still to receive their service. After repeated complaints they sent some gentlemen for repair he repaired and for few minutes it worked but once is off the next day it was back to its life-less wire state. I complained again the same gentlemen came and put on a new router, it worked but within a 3 days it was back to it original lifeless form. Now the wire is Physically cut and I have asked for repair but there is no response. I have sent 3 emails but no response. I only have list of complaint numbers and the present complaint number is 152564!
I have already opened the site for consumer court and I am feeding the complaint
I have a Tataindicom telephone which I am disconnecting as I have already received a BSNL connection.

I will wait for the response from consumer court now! What a name TATA is earning!

Tata Indicom sucks

Tata Indicom sucks… It’s been a month that my internet is down. Every time I call up CC, they either give me a new complain number, or do there best to assure me that someone will get in touch with me within 48 hours. But nothing happens. On top of all this, if I give them my old complain number, they as per there record, the problem is confirmed as fixed. Now what the hell is this??? No one ever confirmed with me or even contacted me, then how the hell they can close complain like that?
Anyway, for the first time, I am planning to do something about this. I am planning to file a case in consumer court, where I believe the cases don’t take ages to get resolved. I’ll keep all of you posted as what happens.
Did any of you ever try that (court case- consumer court)?

I had applied for Tata Indicom In Bangalore Banashankari on May 31 ..So far no one contacted me to give the connection , though have encahsed chaque long back..You call their customer care its same reply by next week we will get you the connection .
Finally today I`m cancelling the application and will ask for refund ..I guess I`m going for sify…

TATA is nothing just a big CHAATA on customers face.

I am really very much pissed up with the shit kind of services that TATA has got. i had just changed my residence phone to TATA walky. i got that and assembled that on monday. when i tried to start that it just told that dial 121 which is their bloody customer services number. even i tried that number but than also that phone just says that dial 121. than i called them from my mobile saying that i have just changed my phoneset and this is the problem. so the customer service guy said that it shall be done within 24 hours. After 24 hours it did not start. i again called their customer service number from my mobile and fired them. Also spoke to their shift manger that time whose name was AJAY. he gave me an assurance that it shall be done by next 12 hours. Then there came some person from TATA technical department at my residence to check. he saw and said that i shall just make it done in 10 mins and he went away. then again i called their customer service that evening and this guy AJAY was not coming online and there was another shift manager whose name was RAHUL, he assured me that it shall be done by before night. I told him that if not than what as i was now too sure of the f….. services. but he said that sir belive me i shall make it done. but nothing happened. again today ther came some technical person at my place changed the phone box and assured that it will get activated by 4.30, but even that has not happened. now i called that technical guy so he is like sir i dont know anything i have done what i was told. now i want these article to come in all papers so that people can read this and see what kind of services these people are providing. So that people stop using such services and explain these pioneers some lesson. TATA is nothing just a big CHAATA on customers face.

I was a customer of Tata Indicom Broadband for the last one year. My problem started when I shifted my residence within the same building. I requested the Customer Care (CC) at Hyderabad in first week of March 06 to shift the connection and then onwards I had pleaded, requested, cajoled the CC to shift connection but to no avail. Everytime the standrad reply was that the matter has been referred to technical department and it is being attended on priority basis. I would have surrendered the connection if not for the installation charges of Rs.2,000 paid by me. But there are limits to one’s patience and I finally decided to surrendered connection. On May 23, 2006 I surrendered the modem and requested the CC to refund the money. I thought this would be the end of the story but little did I know that this would be the beginning of another horror story. Till today I am yet to get the refund. When I call up the CC(either over phone or personally) the stock reply is that there is some backend problem and I will receive the cheque within one week. This charade has been going on for last two months and I am yet to get to the cheque. May be we all should form an association and conduct a dharna in front of Ratan Tata’s office.

I had been with tata broadband connection

I had been with tata broadband connection form 21.12.2005 [Plan surf 6000]. the service till 16/7/2006 good becouse the field engineer is very good, to attend the call with in No time.
But Alas!!!! my line had connection problem from 18th July. I am running Piller to Post to post to rectfy the same. I called the customer care center at Hydrabad moring 10.15 to register my complaint. attended by Ms.Daicy regestered the compaint manualy since her system not working and not given the complaint no. 11am called the Chennai Engineer Mr.Dharani. Mobile no.098821 01169 to liston his Music, 3time he pickedup the phone given another Mobile no 09444 32 31 63 Mr.Venkatesan. He given His engineer no 098404 19249 to attend the work.
again called the customer care center 3pm 0n 18th attended by Mr.Santosh Kumar regestered the complaint.no 182664, then for updating the possition have to call 19th morning 9-30 am, 12.15 pm call attended by sathya, 3.00 pm call attended by santhosh kumar, and 6 pm by parveen kumar. nothing happend in between just “tong in cheek” talking by the call attending staff. again I called 20th morning call attend by sunitha at 11.58 informed she had not recd any feedback from the field people you may call after one hour for the possition I dont KNOW what to do with this people. just knok the door of Consumer protecton council.

I am not feeling alone.I am having the same problem. No connection for Two months after signing up. Yet suddenly out of the blue, I recieved a mail from Tata Broadband customer care stating that I have overused my account(hahahahahah ! As a Network Engineer I didnt know u can use connection without any Tata device installed or cables hahahah). Well to clarify the doubt I have sent a email to Mr.Ratan Tata & Mr.Neelesh Head Tata Broadband.(neelesh@tpc.co.in). If they dont respond I have to remind them thru news paper.
I am a TIGER & I will be a TIGER for those cheat & rob people.

TATA INDICOM broadband service in my area

TATA INDICOM broadband service in my area (Belapur - New bombay) really sucks. The speed is not the issue…it is the service, which is out of order for days and days. All becasue of stupid cable jobs by unprofessional technicians (don’t call these jokers engineers). Cable in my area is cut every 3rd day.
TATA BROADBAND customer service helpline is another pain. It takes atleast 8-15 minutes to connect (well thats obvious as there are 100s complaining every miutes  ) and all you get is a complaint number.
I suggest everyone in my area please do not entertain these guys. Beleive me the local MTNL dial up is much more trust worthy as that is what I end up using most of the time.
Truly speaking there is no real Broadband service in this country. They all are as good as cable operators.

I will also share my bad experience.I got connection and paid up for 3 months and in 3 months i had no connection for 30 days out of 90 days.I was misguided by executive that i will get bonus period for not having connection if i paid for the next month.so again i was looted.this time i dont have the connection continueously for 8 days.i have nearly two months cost of free bandwidth in my account.Dont know what to do as they may loot still more with out providing connection this month.
So dont get into this tata indicom and spread this news as some one should not get into this.

I have had had broadband for last 5 years fron Dishnet in Chennai

Hi,
I have had had broadband for last 5 years fron Dishnet in Chennai 128 to 512kbps.They were great, always on.After Tata Indicom’s takepver also it was fine although levels of service were slowly deteriorating.
Last 10 days their connection is off-all complaints to no avail. No link
I thought of taking Sify but seeing all these comments above I will try something else.

I have Airtel last 2 years and they are excellent although initially they were overbilling and you have to fight every month. Now they don’t overbill!!.
I have a business where I cannot afford not to have internet even for 2-3 hours

i stay in kothapet, dilsukhnagar,hyderabad.i have taken ur connection on i.e . 1-3-2006 (on 1 march) @ 128kb speed, later on i hav changed my plan to 256 kbps .
from 3 rd march onwards..i am facing..so many problems with ur boradband connection… sometimes..discconctions, some times net slow, some times wan light blinking…etc..etc.. to till date..i am not at all satisfied.with ur connection..
i hav given so many compliants reagarding this issue..

from ur dslam my netcafe is no near.. i.e is only half kelometer.still i am getting this much problems…
my area engineers are

in may it was SHAMSHEER
in june it was RAVI
so many engineers changed but..still now my problem has not rectified and solved.
i hav suggested..so many people to take tata connection..more than 40 connections hav came from my side..to u people ( i.e frm kothapet area) . but all the people in kothapet area are facing same problem..not only me everyone..are facing dissconneciton problem.everyone started scolding..me .and i started scolding customer care people…
i am really sorry to say that..
but past one week i started researching on the engineer of vsnl..and cable boys of dilsuknagar area . what they r doing..when the connection..goes.
in this research i hav noticied so many things….. till now i taught the customer care people are not taking action on the complaints given by us.. but it is false..its the problem with the area engineers and cable boys..
i have taken some snaps(photos) of ur dslam and the cable connnectivity
i am attaching some photos..please see that photos carefully .
i am very ashamed to see all this…is this the vsnl cable connectivity..and maintainence . why u people suggest us to take tata broad band conneciton and why u people promise us to give 98% speed assurence.
please i suggest u people..to appoint area manager and check what this enginners and cable boys are doing.
if u not solve this cable problem . we will face same problems again and again.
i hav seen airtel broadband people ..the cable is totally underground..not like u people..leaving the cable on the roads.
i am expecting that u people will take action on this.

Tata needs to be brought to its knees. It owes an unconditional apology to each of its victims. And this is not going to happen in the present circumstances that prevail.
So, the conditions have to be changed. Let the spirit run high till conditions are changed. We can forgive a petty thief who steals for survival; but to forgive a powerful swindling monster that runs a racket is a sin!

I have taken this go999 connection ,the connection came up in a week but it only has worked for 15 mins.The configuration done intially was for post paid but from helpless desk I came to know that prepaid connection requires a different configuration . from that day i.e. from 1 st july till date it is still not working .I have done a smart thing of going to site www.vsnl.com , I went to the list of board of directors , i took all their names and mailed to all my issues by adding a full stop between their name and vsnl.co.in as the address . Which has worked as none of the mail has bounced back

It has been over a month since I had applied for Tata Indicom BB

Hi,
It has been over a month since I had applied for Tata Indicom BB and yet waiting for the connection to happen. It has been already 2 weeks that I have applied for cancellation of the request and return of refund. Ever time they say it will take a week to get the refund. Today (11 July 06) when I called they say that the connection has already been given on (07 July 06. I said that I am staying there and no connection has been given and also aksed their executive to check whether it is given or not. They said somebody would have given incorrect info in the database. I am really fed up with all this. I have already spent over Rs.300/= calling/follwing up with them. Don’t ever go for Tataindicom!!!!

Dear Sir,
With regret I have to inform that I have been forced by your continuous negligence and non cooperation towards my complaint (complain no. 3716426) regarding the same, to begin with legal proceedings against your organization before Consumer forum.
It is to inform that my above mention connection is in a non working position from last 108hrs now; I have registered my complaint on 5th July 06 at 10:45pm. Due to this I have been suffering from lot of mental torture and loss of business heavily in monetary terms.
The best part about the entire episode is I have given 12 reminder calls to your customer care department and spoken to many irresponsible people like Hemant, Ganesh Pathak, Razza (he banged phone on me), seema, swati, ved, Abras (all CCE’s) and one of the supervisors Rinky Sen; but every body just assured me that they have send strong reminders to the technical team and the issue will be resolved in next 12 hrs, but every thing in vain. No body from any department even bothered to give me a call for once.
Above all the great Mr. Hemant lawaniya (Manager Operations as told for customer service) was not available in office form last two days and even doesn’t have time to talk to me for once. After asking for continuous appointment to speak to him from different executives and asked many times to give me a call back for once, this fellow didn’t call me up. I don’t understand that how your organization has hired people like him who don’t understand the ‘C’ of customer service.
I think that It would be very shameful to your organization to phase the legal proceeding before the court of consumer forum in reference to the complaint launched by me.
But anyhow you have forced me to do this and realize the amount of compensation regarding the mental torture and monetary loss occurred to me due to your negligence.
Still, I hope that you will send me a written apology regarding the same to me and get the connection working without any loss of time.

Tatas have not only started cheating but have taught their customer service executives at Hyderabad to abuse customers.
After repeated requests of slow and finally no browsing when I finally asked them to disconnect my connection, the customer service executive at Hyderabad abused me. On asking how dare he, he answered I overheard some others speaking.
Has abusing become a way of life at offices in India? How dare they write “Customers First” when these bunch of people do not even understand what that means.
There executives are so busy that they do not have the time to pick up their telephones. Customer Service at Hyderabad is so hard to reach and even if you reach them, they have the straight answer “Work Under Progress”.
Is there not a way to teach these people a lesson? Any suggestions welcome.

Inefficient Team at TATA VSNL BROADBAND


I have a broadband connection in the name of babloo1983@vsnl.net
I lodged a complaint with the “so called” customer service centre Ph no.55540121
on 22.06.06 @ 8.00 am about the broadband connectivity problem. My complaint number is 41906015. I told the specific problem also that the connection cable is cut in front of my apartments on the road.
1. I have been following up with customer care centre. they have been regularly telling their apologies, due to the fault of some culprits who don’t do their job properly in that organization. I have been asked to wait for 24 hours whenever I called them. Many 24 hours have gone. Poor call centre employees, they do not know the real working of the technical people of tata vsnl.
2. I have given my cell number ( 98404 85595 ) and asked the centre to give the feedback and some responsible person should call me immediately to update the position. It seems the organization does not have any responsible person. Even after nine days of complaint I have not received a single call about my complaint and everybody gone underground.
3. Inspite of telling the exact problem, the so called technical team ( ? ) did not attend the cable problem.
4. It is glaringly visible that tata vsnl don’t have a proper follow up system to know the exact complaints solved and pending complaints. Another inefficient team is spoling the image of the organization.
5. Tata vsnl is spending a lot of money on promotions, advertisements, etc without estimating the real working capacity of the team at Chennai. Should this team be retained, who is draining the effectiveness of the organization.
In case the customer care heads and technical team heads cannot solve this problem, let them vacate their seats.
Any how, I am forwarding this email to all senior heads at Head Quarters to see that the people responsible are sacked from service. I have talked with many local marketing companies and asked them not to canvas for any business quoting my case, to understand the real position.
I will also be lodging a complaint with Consumer Court for the mental agony and other losses I had incurred and will be claiming damages, which should be deducted from the salary of those irresponble employees.
